Surgical blepharoplasty is an aesthetic surgery procedure aimed at correcting excess skin, fat pockets, and skin laxity of the upper and/or lower eyelids. With advancing age, the skin around the eyes loses its elasticity, and fat deposits may become more visible, giving the face a tired or aged appearance.
Through this intervention, the surgeon removes excess skin and, if necessary, surplus fat, contributing to a younger, brighter, and more rested appearance of the gaze. In certain cases, the procedure may also have functional benefits, when excess skin of the upper eyelids affects the visual field.

The intervention is usually performed under local anesthesia or sedation, and the recovery period is relatively short. Most patients can resume their usual activities in approximately 7–10 days, as edema and bruising subside.
The results are long-lasting and contribute to achieving a younger, brighter, and more expressive gaze, while maintaining the naturalness of facial features.
