Dermal nevi are benign skin lesions frequently encountered, also known as dermal moles, which appear as round or slightly raised formations on the skin surface. These can have variable color, ranging from skin tone to brown shades.

Removal of dermal nevi under 0.5 cm is a dermatological procedure used when the lesion causes aesthetic discomfort, irritation or repeated trauma, or when the physician recommends removal for further evaluation.
